Why Webbeagle?

A few people have asked me about Webbeagle. This has a double meaning. I do like dogs. I do like beagles. My uncle had two beagles, Penny and Rocket, when I was growing up. Rocket could really howl (a two-syllable word in my family) and my sister and I just loved to hear him go at it.

But beagle or b. eagle is birding shorthand, if you will, for Bald eagle. Only one or two Golden eagles are in CT in the winter time, if that, but I still use this abbreviation and not just eagle in my lists.
