As I wrote earlier, I'd like to see Wikis in use at HPL. I think that they could help us out with efficiently sharing information and increasing staff productivity. The only Wiki that I visited that I wasn't sure about was the one for the Bull Run Library. I don't seem to understand its purpose.
Two ideas from this exercise. If I need to train staff or the public to use Wikis, I might have them create Wikipedia accounts. Another idea -- I think we should have a Hartford Public Library entry on Wikipedia -- practice for us in working with Wikis and, I think, higher placement in Google searches.
